The installation of the Standalone version of HyperChem is quite simple. Upon entering the CD, HyperChem automatically installs itself onto your PC. The setup will ask you multiple questions in which you must answer to proceed.
The first Question would be that of being purchased or evaluation. If you paid for the software of course your answer would be purchased.
The second question would be network or standalone. In this case we will choose standalone.
The third question is whether or not it is a hardware lock or software lock. Let’s choose that of software lock.
The fourth and final will be that of user name, company, and serial number. Please remember to enter the serial number with the dashes (IE 12-345-1234567890).
Entering the Dealers helps keep track of who sold you the program and lets leave the directory as the default of c:\hyper80. Also let’s choose the typical installation. HyperChem will then make sure ActiveX is installed on your machine along with POV-ray.
After HyperChem is fully installed, you then be asked if you would like to invoke the Client Activator, choose yes.
After choosing the Activate Now button, you will be presented with the locking code that you will need to email this along with your serial number to license@hyper.com to obtain the license file. You will then browse to the saved license file and then Activate it and happy modeling.
